Yo, this is me!

This is my happy face when a chef makes something special just for me!

Hi! My name is Heather and it seems I’m allergic to half the gastronomic world. A number of years ago, I developed allergies and severe intolerances to some of my favorite foods. I had to learn to cook all over again but this time without lactose, gluten, tree nuts, whole corn, beans, and tamarind. That’s a LOT of damn foods! Some days I don’t know what foods might set off severe inflammation or tummy troubles and headaches. But that doesn’t stop me from trying to find the most delicious foods in all corners of the world! I’m a self taught chef in grad school for Gastronomy, learning the science and lore of food so that I can help others adjust to their new way of eating. I’m an expat living in Germany with my husband, our two dogs and all the potatoes and sausage we can eat! Our kids and their partners are scattered across the globe, though they see us several times a year.
